Owners Matthew Lee and Sydney Beck are North Carolina locals who grew up in Johnston County and graduated from NC State University. Breakfast dates are a common weekend treat for this couple, as they love to support their favorite local coffee shops. On one of these very dates, an idea blossomed: starting their own business!

Matt and Sydney created Backstage Bagel Company from their love of music and baking, especially together. They perfected their scratch bagel recipe in their home kitchen, challenging themselves to make the best bagels in North Carolina. Now they are operating from their local church kitchen in Wendell, and selling bagels at markets near you!
